International Women’s Day

Today is the 113th Celebration of international Women’s Day. A day that is globally recognised to celebrate and forge a world that is more inclusive of women.

This year’s theme is “Let’s Inspire Inclusion” and AACMA is proud to acknowledge the contribution of all our female member practitioners and AACMA office staff to the profession and its practice.

The International Women’s Day website has much more information which can be accessed here.

It begins on Wednesday!!!

Our professional series of seminars commences next Wednesday March 13th with Christie Boucher, Risk Services Manager (Guild Insurance) who will speak on professional behaviour and what is expected of a practitioner and the importance of a professional patient - practitioner relationship.

Poor practitioner behaviour has been a growing concern and has seen an increase in complaints to Ahpra, CMC in NSW and OHO in Qld, across all of the registered professions.

In some extreme circumstances, state or federal police are called in to investigate.

Christie will cover all the necessary information that you need to know to maintain those professional boundaries and avoid complaints.

This whole series of professional issues has been designed specifically, to target the needs of AACMA members to enhance their practice with reviews of the necessary codes and guidelines under which we must practice, conduct a successful business and educate members on improving or securing their financial futures, providing much, much more than just achieving the necessary 4 CPD points on professional issues.

The added bonus - AACMA recognises that times are really tough for many of us, so these vital seminars are heavily subsidised or in some cases free.

You will find all the details to register in the Events News below.
