In Chinese Medicine, th four phases of menstrual cycle are realted with Kidney Yin and Yang wax and wane; the Heart and Kidneys communication is also playing a key role during the menstruation. Based on this specific Qi, Blood, Essence, Yin and Yang understanding, the four phases treatment principles in Chinese medicine are important and helpful in the clinical practice, especially with infertility treatment. The presentation will summarize, review the theory understanding and treatment points in the four phases of menstrual cycle and analyse the applications by using case studies.

Topic 3: The Importance of Ovulation: How it Led to Building a Multi-Modality Treatment Package
Presenter: Jasmine Langlands
Having studied multiple natural medicine modalities over the years, there was always an intention to bring the best or most relevant parts together in one place for patients. Health is multi-faceted and requires a multi-faceted approach. Discovering the Billings Ovulation Method led me to learn even more about women’s physiology and the mechanism of ovulation. This was “knowledge of her body every woman ought to have,” (Dr. Evelyn Billings) and drove my desire to communicate this information. I will share how this led to building a multi-modality treatment package to support my patients.
About Presenter
Jasmine completed her studies in naturopathy and Bowen in 2010 and went on to complete the Master of Applied Science (Acupuncture) at RMIT. After her first child, she completed the Billings Ovulation Method teacher training and has most recently completed training in Womb and Fertility Massage, and NeoClassical Acupuncture.
Topic 4: Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatment for autoimmune peripheral neuropathy
Presenter: Yunfei Lu
Peripheral neuropathy is a very common clinical condition, but there is no effective treatment in modern western medicine. In our private practice of acupuncture and Chinese medicine clinics we have been seeing more cases of peripheral neuropathy caused by post viral infection autoimmune disorders in addition to those caused by diabetes and chemotherapy. In this seminar we will discuss the treatment strategies for autoimmune peripheral neuropathy with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
