We are looking for an experienced, confident acupuncturist to join our established Mackay Acupuncture Natural Medicine clinic on a contractor basis.
This role would suit a practitioner who values clinical autonomy, enjoys working in a busy environment, and wants their income to reflect the number of patients they treat rather than being restricted to a standard hourly wage.
Our clinic focuses on results-driven acupuncture, including Neoclassical Acupuncture, Tung and Tan-style approaches, structural alignment, and Chinese herbal medicine.
What the role offers:
- Contractor remuneration averaging around $70 per patient
- Approximately 4 patients per hour, with earning potential around $280 per clinical hour
- A 6-hour clinical day can generate approximately $1,680, based on typical patient flow
- Opportunity to work up to 3 days per week, including Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
- Flexible shifts of approximately 5–8 hours
- Established clinic systems and a large existing patient base
- Professional independence and flexibility
- Opportunity to build a strong long-term patient following
- Supportive clinical environment with experienced practitioners
- Training and mentoring available in Neoclassical Acupuncture, Structural Alignment and our clinic treatment systems
We are particularly interested in practitioners with at least 1 year of clinical experience, although highly capable practitioners with strong extracurricular training will also be considered.
Previous training in Neoclassical Acupuncture, Tung, Tan or Chinese herbal medicine would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. We are happy to train the right practitioner in these acupuncture styles and approaches.
What is most important is strong clinical ability, confidence with patients, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently while being a positive, contributing member of our clinical team.
We value practitioners who bring their own skills, experience and initiative to help build and grow the clinic.
This is not a conventional low-paid employee position. It is an opportunity for an experienced practitioner to develop a substantial professional income while working sensible clinical hours.
Mackay: Up to 3 days per week available for the right practitioner, with opportunities on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
If you are an experienced acupuncturist looking for greater professional freedom, strong earning potential and an established, supportive clinic environment, we would be pleased to hear from you.
