Improvements to HBF technology and systems
We are nearing completion of a program to upgrade our technology and systems. We've invested in these changes to ensure we can provide the best possible experiences for our members and providers.
In the coming weeks, we will switch to a new HBF website and upgraded systems for managing member claims.
There will naturally be some impacts in switching over to these upgraded systems, but we are working hard to minimise those and wanted to provide some details in advance of what providers might expect.
During the upgrade period, providers won't be able to request quotes, check eligibility, or submit HBF member claims electronically (e.g. HICAPS and HealthPoint).
HBF members visiting practices during the system upgrade will not be able to swipe their HBF member card or tap their digital member card to claim on the spot.
If you have any questions or feedback, please email ancillaryproviders@hbf.com.au.
We will be in touch again with confirmed dates for the system upgrade closer to the time.
