AACMA Webinar with Guild Insurance: Supporting Better Clinical Decisions to Minimise Complaints
It can be easy to think that clinical errors and complaints are more likely to happen to inexperienced practitioners or those lacking clinical skills. However, our experience at Guild Insurance tells us any practitioner can make a mistake and face a complaint about a clinical outcome. And this is because these errors occur for a variety of reasons, often linked to clinical decision making.
This session will explore the range of decisions practitioners need to make, such as deciding on a course of treatment or knowing when to refer, and the factors which might contribute to or hinder those decisions.
